X (Twitter) link preview: tags, image size and cache refresh

X needs twitter:card. For everything else it falls back to og:title, og:description and og:image. Use summary_large_image for a full-width image (2:1, under 5 MB).

Refreshing

There's no public cache-clear tool. Use a variant URL (?v=2) for a re-scrape. To preview, start composing a post with the link and don't publish it.

Gotcha

Your robots.txt must allow Twitterbot. X won't build a card for URLs it's disallowed from fetching.
